CEDERNA-GARALUR is a non-profit making association created in 1991 to promote the economic and social development of the Mountain Area of Navarre.
The Association encompasses the local councils in the Navarre Mountain Area and a group of Business Organisations, Trade Unions, Professional Farming Organisations, in addition to Cultural, Sports and Rural Tourism Organisations, Financial Entities and other Collaborating Entities, all in all, there are a total of 120 members.
CEDERNA-GARALUR employs a team of experts in local development and rural innovation, to provide support to companies and entrepreneurs in areas relating to new technologies, employment management, tourism and European information.
The Association has a Network of Centres distributed throughout the different districts of the Navarre Mountain Area, comprising a Rural Development Centre, eight Local Development Agencies, three Service Centres and a Telecenter.
CEDERNA GARALUR operates in the Navarre Mountain Area, an extensive territory covering the northern half of the Autonomous Region of Navarre and occupying a surface area of 4,900 km2, with a population of 80,000 inhabitants, 126 municipalities and a 100-km border with France.
